We celebrated our 20th anniversary. We went to a fine restaurant had the cutest teenage waitress. She was also the friendliest waitress you've ever had. Her name was Brianne and she will just sit and tell you all about her day. This other little guy kept wanting to get in our pictures. Do you know him?

20 years Married
We celebrated our 20th anniversary. We went to a fine restaurant had the cutest teenage waitress. She was also the friendliest waitress you've ever had. Her name was Brianne and she will just sit and tell you all about her day. This other little guy kept wanting to get in our pictures. Do you know him?
Summer 2008
Spencer trying his hand at the tomahawk. Alyssa panning for Gold at the Pioneer Museum in Brigham and We were invited to a 1900's tea party (lots of yummy desserts) Alyssa and I said yes to everything being served. We had very good manners. Spencer is making pummacin, an Indian dish with dried berries, pine nuts and meat. It was good!. Spencer and his Cousin Maddie at the Tree House Museum in Ogden. What a Place, in the middle of the room they have this fake tree that the kids climb up and near the top is has a twirly slide that takes you back down. They did this over and over. I told Maddie when it was time to go home that they had one more slide. She then looked at me and said how about 32 more slides. Every room was a magical imagination room with many things to do.

School's out!
Well Brianne graduated from Carden and now she's moving on to high school! We were really proud of her she received the Curtis Award. Which is a top award at her school and with it a $50 savings bond and plaque for the school and one to take home. She also received an award from her PE coach for President's Fitness and she was the only one to get 100% in every event. Go Brianne! Spencer is now a 2nd grader and won the most entertaining in his class. Can you believe it (quiet Spencer)! His Teacher says that when he thinks she's not looking, Spencer entertains the class, and Alyssa is now a 7th grader Wow she's growing up too!

Tara 's Birthday & Prom Pictures

Tara turned 18, March 27th. We can't believe it! The years go by so fast. We had a Surpise Birthday dinner with the Family and surpised Tara by asking her boss at work if we could come and kidnap her at work on Saturday before her birthday. We then kidnapped her and also asked Sam if he would join us for the evening. Sam is the guy that helped Tara with the drums on her CD. If you havent received her Cd you will get one. Sam asked Tara to his prom. Tara then had a change of plans with Shawn who originally asked her to her prom and then asked Sam if he would take her. So she had prom last week at his school and prom tomorrow at hers. Sam's a very nice guy.
We also bought a new car last week. Tara was in an accident with the 97 van and rear eneded someone and this spurred us on to get a new van. Its a 2006 Toyoto Sienna and only has 30,000 miles on it. So its like brand new to me!

Gaylynne has been tutoring me on posting pictures in my blog so that it will stay in the archives. We are on spring break, but it feels like winter. Alyssa is going to basketball camp all week and then going up to Whitney's Birthday Party, so she's having a fun week! Tara has a friend named Sam who will be playing the drums for her album that she is making on Thurs. Trent also has this week off. Hopefully will get a garden in. He's also pouring a foundation for the shed. It was on wood and rotting with termite's. When he pulled off the wooden foundation we found an uninvited guest that made all the kids come in screaming. Can you guess? Yes it was a rat. Brianne said it was as big as a bunny. I went to look at it, after Trent killed it and it was big, but more like a baby bunny. The picture above if you dont recogize her with all that dark hair is Alyssa being a witch for a school play.

Winter Act.
We now have high speed internet as of March 12th. Mark your calendars we will be having a party tonight!! I was so tired of everytime that I picked up the phone I would get an internets sound of the kids on the internet. You can call without getting a busy signal!! I've downloaded the pictures in a few minutes instead of 45for each one, Yes!
Well some of the things that we have been doing for the past few months, Spencer had his 7th Birthday Party, his theme was pirates!! Talk about some wild pirates at our party. We made a pirate ship in the back yard and his friend Lance made one also. We walked the plank. We hunted for clues for the pirate treasure and then broke the treasure chest pinata. Tara went to the Winter Formal with a friend (Tony Walsh). Tara also wrote a song and tried out for the school talent show and will be performing this next week Alyssa had her 12 year old pictures finally taken and is playing basketball every morning. Brianne is taking voice class this semester and really enjoying it. We plan to take the kids horse back riding for rodeo vacation and then Brianne and Tara will be doing a pioneer trek this month. I'll update some pictures next week.'

Fall Activities
Life is picking the pace up with all the school activities and extra curricular. Tara placed 8th place in her butterfly at State in Phoenix this past October(GO TARA!). Brianne is in a Theater group and Alyssa is doing basketball at the Y. We had the fun opportunity to take all the girls to EFY up in Phoenix for the weekend. We got to hear John Schmidt perform. (Wow is he a good pianist he even played a song upside down!) The girls were really impressed Tara had to try this when we got home, you turn the bench sideways and lay your back on it with your head hanging down and then put your fingers on the keys and start playing. I prefer the other way. I'll be having my piano recital this weekend. I now have 15 students and taking no more. As for Spencer he is growing up even when I tell him to stop. He lost two baby teeth this past Oct.
Well we have had a crazy month I don't know if that was the right word but anyway I'll describe the events. Trent was in an accident at work in October and they fired him right on the spot. We were shocked! They told him he would have a hearing before it was final and that it would be two weeks before the hearing. We were so blessed to have saved some emergency money but still very stressed regardless. Five days after he was was fired we got a call from UPS that they were going to have the hearing tomorrow. I could not sleep all that night. At the hearing the union was there and said that we think he should not be fired for the accident and then the bosses said, "we will reinstate you without pay for the missed work will you accept this. Of course he said yes. We received a letter from Ups stating that the termination had been down sized into a warning . So its not even on his record now. Then the next week our pump for our septic tank went out, all our bathrooms and laundry drain into this and then the pump pumps it out into the sewer. Trent always said that when the pump went out he did not want to do that job. Guess when the pump went out on Saturday night. We could get no one to come in on Sunday for all the Plumbing Stores closed. So Trent ended fixing it himself. Have you heard the saying 'My Ox is in the Mire" We were really in the mire. Trent found a pump at Loew's and worked all Sunday so we could move back home. Thanks mom for letting us camp out at your place. Trent your my Hero! Then Spencer threw a rock the next week and broke the dining glass window, then we found termites in Brianne's room and yesterday I discovered the 4 yr old refrigerator was quiting on us. I need this month to Stop! I dreamed last night that every room in our house needed repairing! I guess we have months like this sometime to appreciate the rest.
We hope to see you in December we send our love
