Fall Activities

Life is picking the pace up with all the school activities and extra curricular. Tara placed 8th place in her butterfly at State in Phoenix this past October(GO TARA!). Brianne is in a Theater group and Alyssa is doing basketball at the Y. We had the fun opportunity to take all the girls to EFY up in Phoenix for the weekend. We got to hear John Schmidt perform. (Wow is he a good pianist he even played a song upside down!) The girls were really impressed Tara had to try this when we got home, you turn the bench sideways and lay your back on it with your head hanging down and then put your fingers on the keys and start playing. I prefer the other way. I'll be having my piano recital this weekend. I now have 15 students and taking no more. As for Spencer he is growing up even when I tell him to stop. He lost two baby teeth this past Oct.

Well we have had a crazy month I don't know if that was the right word but anyway I'll describe the events. Trent was in an accident at work in October and they fired him right on the spot. We were shocked! They told him he would have a hearing before it was final and that it would be two weeks before the hearing. We were so blessed to have saved some emergency money but still very stressed regardless. Five days after he was was fired we got a call from UPS that they were going to have the hearing tomorrow. I could not sleep all that night. At the hearing the union was there and said that we think he should not be fired for the accident and then the bosses said, "we will reinstate you without pay for the missed work will you accept this. Of course he said yes. We received a letter from Ups stating that the termination had been down sized into a warning . So its not even on his record now. Then the next week our pump for our septic tank went out, all our bathrooms and laundry drain into this and then the pump pumps it out into the sewer. Trent always said that when the pump went out he did not want to do that job. Guess when the pump went out on Saturday night. We could get no one to come in on Sunday for all the Plumbing Stores closed. So Trent ended fixing it himself. Have you heard the saying 'My Ox is in the Mire" We were really in the mire. Trent found a pump at Loew's and worked all Sunday so we could move back home. Thanks mom for letting us camp out at your place. Trent your my Hero! Then Spencer threw a rock the next week and broke the dining glass window, then we found termites in Brianne's room and yesterday I discovered the 4 yr old refrigerator was quiting on us. I need this month to Stop! I dreamed last night that every room in our house needed repairing! I guess we have months like this sometime to appreciate the rest.

We hope to see you in December we send our love

The same thing happened to us, we were very shocked. Greg didn't get his job back though. (Thank goodness!) But times were rough, I worried about food, warm clothes for the kids, Christmas, birthdays. When Greg lost his job, a tree broke in our back yard, the toaster broke. We had no savings. We had to figure out where to get the money to start a company which wasn't easy to find. The Lord blessed us so much!! It all worked out.

Wow! I am sorry to hear about all the bad news, at least Trent was able to keep his job in the end. That's weird that they would fire someone right on the spot who has worked for them for so long. Is there no room for errors?
